We know that everything we make has an environmental impact, and we are actively working to minimise our footprint with responsible design. Here we outline our sustainability commitment.

Buy once. Buy well.

We commit to designing for durability, minimising the need for replacements or updates.

Building to last
Our mission is to design with longevity, in everything we do. Durability and functionality are our guiding principles, and our best energy goes into designing our products to work well, look good and last long.

Designing thoughtfully

We don't rush products to market. Every Joseph Joseph product undergoes rigorous testing to ensure quality performance. It’s why we guarantee everything we make. We keep our products going by offering spare parts wherever possible, so that products can be mended for a long and useful life.

We commit to always using safe materials

Respectful sourcing
The innovation of our material choices are driven by clear targets that keep us moving forward and improving. We’re dedicated to safe material choices for people and the planet: all our products are guaranteed BPA-free, Teflon-free, and free from phthalates.

Recycled materials
We know that plastic comes with consequences. That’s why we’re actively expanding the use of recycled plastic across our product ranges. Within our storage and organisation and waste and recycling ranges, over 35 products are made with a minimum of 50% post-consumer recycled plastic.

Packaged with purpose

We commit to making our packaging more recyclable, reducing the footprint that goes into shipping our products around the world.

Less is more
Our team aim to use as little material as possible, so no unnecessary resources are wasted. We’ve removed single-use plastic bags and eliminated plastic-laminated card from all new product packaging.

FSC-certified
We're committed to using responsibly sourced materials and continue to expand our use of FSC-certified cardboard. We've made strong progress, now shipping over 3.6 million products in FSC-certified packaging per year.

“We are continually working to find new ways to minimise our environmental impact further and help play our part in creating a more sustainable future.”

- Antony & Richard Joseph

Guided by social responsibility

We commit to working with suppliers who uphold high standards.

Sustainable manufacturing is about taking responsibility for the impact of making our products: both environmental and social. We are a proud member of Sedex, a world-leading ethical trade organisation that aims to improve working conditions in global supply chains.
