"Hold, Gray Paper Towel Holder is an big improvement to the one it replaced. Works well but the base should have more weight. If that were the case the holder would remain still when pulling a sheet off when the roll gets smaller. Works perfectly with a new and larger roll of towels but as the roll is used and the weight is less it does require one hand to keep it stable as the other hand pulls off a sheet."

Too difficult to use
"It looks nice, but I found it difficult to use. The tension arm holds the kitchen roll in so tightly, that it doesn’t spin around very easily, making it difficult to actually pull a sheet off the roll. Also, if you pull at the roll too much, you end up toppling over the holder, as it is not very weighted down at the base. My previous brand of holder was so weighty at the base, that it would stay firmly in place on my windowsill, and I could use one hand to pull a sheet from it. With this holder, you have to use both hands - one to try to pull at the sheet, and the other hand to keep the holder from moving, or toppling over. I’m sorry to say that I am going back to my previous brand of holder, and not this one."

"Grey Paper Towel Holder cannot be used with one hand. The tension arm holds the paper towel roll so tightly it requires two hands to tear off a sheet. And I'm using Bounty, a good brand of paper towels."
